'Lost Leonardo' "Found" under Italian Wall

That's a lot of quotes for one sentence, but it's well deserved. Researchers believe that they may have found a lost mural of Leonardo Da Vinci behind a newer wall painted by Vasari.

The story goes that Leonardo was supposed to paint a depiction of a recent battle, started a massive mural, yet left it unfinished as he seemed to do with many of his pieces. It was previously thought that the mural was painted over, lost forever, but a new group or researchers believes that Vasari built a new wall centimeters from the old one, blocking the unfinished mural but leaving it untouched.

Of course, it's a bit of a problem having another masterwork by Vasari over what could be a long lost Leonardo...It's not like Vasari was a hack and you can just tear down the old wall...and there's no guarantee the painting beneath was done by Leonardo...check it out...
