Batali Agrees to $5.25M settlement

In a recent court battle, Celebrity Chef Mario Batali was accused of illegally confiscating portions of his waitstaff's tips for the profit of himself and business partners. In a recent settlement, he has agreed to pay $5.25 million to the employees.

Worsening the situation for Batali, he found himself in hot water a number of months ago for criticizing bankers, blaming their greed for the current economic woes, and comparing them to Stalin and Hitler. At least we know, along with making some mean spaghetti, he can steal from the poor like the best of them.
