Morning After Pills May Not Prevent Implantation

A big knock against contraceptive pills for the religious right is the little note on the package that say that the pills may block fertilized eggs from implanting on a women's uterus. Since fertilized eggs are "living people", pro-lifers contend that this basically makes the morning after pill an "abortive pill" to quote Mitt Romney. But science disagrees saying that there is no evidence that this is how the pill works, and in fact, including that sentence on the package was not based on science and was added despite the objections of Plan B, makers of the oldest pill on the market.

Is the religious right's crusade against pills like "The Morning After Pill" based on outdated and incorrect science? And do they even care?
