We Risked the Possibility to Grow

We Risked the Possibility to Grow is meant to conjure a lot of imagery and ideas. To Grow in what way? Is the figure the result of the growth or the person who initiated the risk? Both? Is the growth a positive or negative thing? How are we making that risk

Both the title and the imagery are purposefully cryptic, meant to relate to each person on an individual basis, creating a dialogue that connects to the current experience in each viewer. Someone who was just married will see something very different that someone who was just divorced. A person who has found success will take a very different message than that of a person who is in the trenches....

It's a personal statement that is personal to everyone...it is generally specific

On a side note, I am pretty pleased with it. The original idea was much darker and "negative" but I became pleased with the contrasts within the body to the surrounding "landscape."I was afraid the figure would become sterile or mannequin-like, and while that may work for the piece that was originally in my head, it wasn't coming naturally and felt fake at the time.
