The Coming Months in Art....

Just a quick note for you guys wondering what's going on in the next few months in my art world...

I'll be participating in my first MAM After Dark event!
Come on down to MAM next gallery night and take part in an interactive project, The Garden, in which you can help create an original piece of artwork, a "cabinet of curiosity" of sorts all about welcoming spring and summer to our frozen city.

The COFFEE TABLE BOOK.
The fine people over at Front Room Photography, where my recent show WE ARE GIANTS (http://marionart23.blogspot.com/2012/11/we-are-giants-end.html) was hung, liked a piece of my work so much that we are doing a bit of a collaboration...through some live painting and photography, I am going to be creating a new piece, series of images, and detail shots documenting my process from start to finish. The images will all be combined into one large coffee table-style art book designed by yours truly, and will display the work in an intimate, never-before-seen approach. Details to come...

But as of right now, I will be hanging some work at the Hide House, possibly be doing a large live piece and i might also be putting some work up at another location...more details to come...

The HOUSE Gallery.
I am about to sign a new lease and there will be some exciting things happening. I'll have a new studio that will be open upon request, we will be quadrupling the size of the apartment so there will be more room than ever, and there is some fantastic wall-space for some fun projects and shows. Keep an ear out for openings and online showing experiences...and for the artists out there, keep an eye out for calls for art and project proposals as I hope to be setting up shows that, at the very least, can live on through the blog...

So while I have a few live events and showings here and there, I'm trying to focus on some projects and setting up my own shows. The new house will be a great adventure as a first step in my own little gallery/studio...and I'll be announcing a number of group shows and projects in the coming months that will go up with the new place! So...keep checking in for the daily updates and keep an eye out for some of the bigger happenings.
