After standing in the sun all day long, everyone is on edge...
I think that's the message of the piece...it displays the moment where something is said, something is done...something has happened "off screen" and this man is about to react....but what will that reaction be?
As the viewer, you don't know what's been done...you don't know why the man has such a serious look...you don't know much of any history on the situation...you just see the initial beginnings of a reaction.
Will it be to yell? Will it be to attack? Will he apprehend a suspect? Will he join in on the off-screen action? Will he say put?
After Standing in the Sun you're going to be on edge...but what will set you off and what exactly will you do?
