Like Rain-forests? Thank the Desert.

The Amazon rain-forests are some of the most diverse and dense places of life on the planet. New animals are found daily and expeditions into them turn up interesting finds all the time, even still in 2012. Strange, then, that we have the deserts to thank. Despite the vast amounts of life in the Amazon rain-forests, the soil there is not that great. In fact, to exist at all, they require some help from the Sahara  desert...and way more help than we ever before imagined. Take a look...
