Politician Supporter of Assange Calls Actions "Bad Manners", "Not Rape"

With  the GOP reeling from the recent firestorm created by some truly dumbfounding comments from one of its members, the 'war on women' has become a frontline issue in this election year. On the other side of the pond, though, we have another rape-related controversy brewing that really hasn't gotten much media attention. A supporter of Julian Assange, and a high-profile political player at that, recently caused a storm with these comments on the case...
Some people believe that when you go to bed with somebody, take off your clothes, and have sex with them and then fall asleep, you're already in the sex game with them," Galloway said, gesticulating emphatically. "It might be really bad manners not to have tapped her on the shoulder and said: 'Do you mind if I do it again?' It might be really sordid and bad sexual etiquette, but whatever else it is, it is not rape or you bankrupt the term rape of all meaning.
