Though there are plenty of negative headlines around the country about the shutdown, many have taken on the outrage over the closing of the national parks and memorials. Last time there was a shutdown they were open...many memorials are open parks which required more action to close than stay open...and veterans have been threatened with arrest simply for trying to see the memorial to them...

Now, I don't know if this "scandal" is as important as the writer seems to think (and he doesn't do himself any favors by failing to mention any hand in the shutdown by the GOP), but I definitely see some ridiculous and unnecessary things happening in an apparent attempt to make the shutdown hurt more. And while it may not be your fault the shutdown is happening, you still should take the blame for making it worse....especially if it's on purpose.
