Most people, I imagine, would not use black, would not overlap with buildings you've already placed or would have just taken care of the wind before you went through the trouble. Well...I think it helps. It integrates the buildings with the sky, it creates a much more dynamic movement, and I think it anchors the sky a bit. Instead of creating a massive landscape with endless depth, I want the entire picture with sky, buildings, and lake, to to work together on the same surface. I don't want to step into the picture, I want the picture to jump out at me.

Making MKE Pt. 3
