In Line at the Butcher Shop. In-progress.

The name is tentative and the piece may have quite a bit left to go...but I am definitely liking it better now than yesterday. Right now, it's a crowd of people lining up. When I started the piece, it was to be a crowd for a prize-fight, continuing the boxing inspiration from the last few weeks. Now, it is people lined up at a butcher...but I supposed, one could argue, there isn't much a difference between a crowd salivating over meat and one salivating over the coming brutality of a boxing match.

The crowd jostles, jeers and jabs in a flurry of mark and color, while a stark black object lays splayed out on a right side of the canvas. Is it simply a fresh cut of meat or the most recent champ to go down?

Overall, I like the piece today much better...but I would definitely like to get the brightness of the pink and yellow on the left back. I think the photo above is a bit darker than reality, but still, that side of the piece seems a bit more dense than I'd prefer.

Take a closer look and keep up to date as the piece figures itself out...

The piece as posted yesterday
