Yet To Be Titled. The What.

Yet To Be Titled. is a new piece who's message is stated through the purposefully vague title. Usually, an artist puts "yet to be titled" near a piece which, in fact, does not have a title. But with the intention of producing an image that can be interpreted a number of ways, titles can sometimes get in the way.

Yet To Be Titled. is meant to play off that unsure imagery, start the viewers mind in a quest to define the piece, and, using the title as an open invitation to explore any possibility, create their own narrative for the piece. Further, using this title, which seems to suggest an unknown meaning to come, the viewer then begins to wonder if in fact the awaited title will rename the painting, or if that unknown subject is the waiting for definition.

Is the painting itself waiting for a subject or is the subject itself the concept of "waiting to be further defined"?

Is it a crown? A monster's foot? A Cathedral? A city? A mountain? What it says to you reveals the painting and, maybe, a bit about the viewer...now you just have to look and decide for yourself.
