Artists Accused of "Nature Terrorism" by Icelandic Authorities

After a number of large words were found spray-painted across the Icelandic landscape, authorities target a group of artists showing photos of the affected areas. The artists deny they created the words, but do admit that the idea was theirs.

I think this part is ridiculous...a quote from the artist:
was aware that what was done might violate some laws, but I am not happy that the Icelandic authorities call the paintings ‘nature terrorism’. What about the new power plants and aluminium smelters that are planned for Iceland and that will destroy the environment?”
The question he asks is a good one, but then why deface nature in your own work if you're trying to stop the destruction of nature? It's like cutting down a tree for art and then asking "what about all the logging companies cutting down trees?"

Sure, maybe they deserve to get punished too...but other people doing worse doesn't cancel out your own destruction. Nothing says "save the environment" like spray painting nature.

If they used nature-friendly paint, I guess it's a little more understandable...but jeez...spray paint a power plant or something or a tattered old building...don't deface pristine nature in the name of saving pristine nature.
