Seems like an interesting idea but I could see some problems. Think about it this way...if you get an awesome job, you end up paying a TON for your education while if you get a terrible job, you pay next to nothing...I guess that kind of makes the education cost what it was worth to you...but it could also be seen as a simple way to increase tax on the wealthy....and a way to get some huge payments from the highest earning graduates (if you made 100k out of college with no raise for 25 years, you'd pay 75,000 for your state school education)
And I suppose some will see that as fair, being that you have a good salary...but I know quite a few people that would have some problems giving their school too much credit for the positive things they've been able to do after graduating...
