I Saw a Mirage in Red (And When I Turned Back It Was Gone)

I Saw a Mirage in Red (And When I Turned Back It Was Gone)
18x24
Acrylic and Pastel on Canvas.

I'm really beginning to enjoy working on this series and seeing the results, how they relate to each other, and how they are constantly informing and evolving my focus...

Yesterday I brought up Into the Western Wild as a potential thesis...and through some thinking I've begun to narrow it down to the idea of starting over, heading somewhere unknown, and the contrasting perspectives that can come from that. Change for the better...change for the worse...change that isn't necessary...change that benefits one but destroys another...change for the sake of change...fear of change...fear for the changes being enacted...
