The Divine Michelangelo.

It's hard to believe one could be underrated while still being widely known as one of the, if not THE, greatest artists of all time...but I think it happens a bit with Michelangelo.

Yes, some of his work is among the best known pieces of art ever created in both paint and stone, but I feel like I find many more people enamored with and educated about Leonardo da Vinci than with Michelangelo. And while Leonardo definitely deserves the attention, being the most fascinating and forward-thinking person who ever lived, I've always found Michelangelo, at least in comparing artwork, most impressive and intensely interesting.

Take a look at this documentary two-part series from the BBC, "The Divine Michelangelo" which follows his story, touches on his rivalry with Leonardo, and gives great insight into some of the greatest artwork ever created...
