Christo Project Clears Hurdle.

A major hurdle cleared in Christo's quest to cover the Arkansas river.

I've always been interested in Christo's work, but this piece worries me a little. While all of his work infringes on the environment and calls into question man's influence and place in the world, 6 miles of a major river is a lot of area, a lot of territory, a lot of unknowns. I love the surreal quality of his work and the environment in which it is placed, but with this piece, and forgive me if they've already figured this completely out through the years of doing this work, I see a lot of possibility for hazards that one could never being to imagine ahead of time.
