Native American Graffiti at Alacatraz Restored.
In a strange but interesting move, the National Park Service restored graffiti on the former Alcatraz Prison scrawled by Native Americans during an occupational protest in the late 60s- early 70s. In a statement, they said the graffiti held "social significance" as the protest was a call to award the island to Native Americans following the prison's closure....take a look at an interesting, though largely forgotten, part of history...
