Submarine Pants. The What.

This piece is inspired by the infamous boondoggle - work or activity that is wasteful or pointless but gives the appearance of having value.

Submarine Pants is about waste, whether the intention was good or not. Here, you have the "invention" of submarine pants...and while that may seem somewhat valuable, the second you give it any critical thought you realize how unhelpful, unusable and ultimately worthless such a thing would be without the top half.

Submarine Pants is not about arguing whether the intention was honorable...it's about the fact that, in the end, it's the result that matters. In the end, if it was a waste of money and nothing was gained, was it worth it? Are intentions important enough to override the eventual reality or do you hold people accountable whether they were hoping for the best or not?
