'Art-Flipper' Suing Artist for Not Delivering Sold Work.

This story confuses me a bit.

Artist sells work but refuses to deliver because collector is known as an "art-flipper." Is art-flipping illegal? Did he not pay the amount asked for? I'm not saying I support the idea of "art flipping" but I kind of don't understand the position of the artist. You sold a piece for a specific amount...if you don't like the collector or what he's known to do with art, you shouldn't have agreed to sell the piece...am I missing something?
