A Brief Guide to Reading Abstract Art.

The quote below was my status this week on facebook (and probably was my most popular ever) and this article is a timely representation of the sentiment.

Anyone who uses the "my kids could do that" mantra should be automatically required to donate to arts education because, without it, your kids couldn't do that, and, with it, they could have explained your ignorance before you went about embarrassing yourself by employing the most overused critique in art history.
