If you've ever been to a concert, been in a band, been friends with a band member, listened to music, been to a pawn shop, been to a music shop (you get the idea) you've probably seen a number of Marshall amps in your lifetime.
Well, the "Lord of Loud", founder of Marshall Amplifications Jim Marshall, has died at the age 88. With his amps played by the likes of Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and Slash, he's revered as one of the four forefathers of modern rock equipment. Rest in Peace...or loud screaming guitar solos...
