Rhymesayers Entertainment is the greatest record label in the Midwest for one extremely valid reason: they have the hardest working artists in Hip-Hop.
In preparation for the his newest offering Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color (set to drop in August), Brother Ali demonstrates the usual Rhymesayers work-ethic and releases The Bite Marked Heart for free.
The 7-song EP carries a little piece of his soul in every single song. The majority of tracks in the past have been produced by BK-One and Anthony Davis (of Atmosphere), but the entirety of the new album will be produced by the auspicious Jake-One (best known as one-half of the duo Freeway & Jake-One).
In case you haven’t checked him out in a while, or if you’ve only heard the hits such Uncle Sam Goddamn and Forest Whitaker, give Brother Ali a thought today. He’s incredibly introspective and offers nothing but great advice. His stories are vivid yet almost surreal, bringing you back to the fables of the past. And yes, he’s a big albino guy.
