Tentatively Titled...

I think the worst part about transitioning from working out of a home studio to working in a separate studio has been the inability to really look at the work after putting hours into it. It may be surprising, but I enjoy having some free time to sit around from time to time...and while I may still be looking at art, thinking about art, or trying to figure out my next or more recent piece while doing it, sitting at home on the couch is really hard to replace...

And so I give you my first real dilemma from my new studio. I worked on this piece for a few hours last night and, toward the end, started to like the direction...I took these photos and was ready to keep thinking about the next step...and it just started to feel not quite right.

I'm hoping a viewing of the real piece will help decide, but I just have the feeling that I'm going to be painting over this over the next few days. It's part of being an artist and all so you have to deal with changing ideas...but it's also one of the frustrating and less fun parts...

What do you think of the most recent piece to come out of the studio, tentatively titled "When I Pick Flowers I Sometimes Hear Voices." 48x60" with acrylic, pastel and oil stick on canvas.
