Demonizing Cigarettes.

I'm no smoker, but I always thought the requirement for packages to show diseased lungs, yellowed teeth or any of those on the product was a little ridiculous. I'm not denying that cigarettes are bad for you, but why only cigarettes? Why not liquor? That's bad. Why not fatty and sugary foods? those aren't good either. Why not show mangled car wrecks at dealerships? It's a very possible future if you buy the car...

Furthermore, does it matter anyways? Do the images actually change people's minds? And on top of that, is it even constitutional? Check out this article on the very issue...
Cigarettes and Compulsion

That's a great quote at the beginning...not particularly in this instance...but in general.

It's easy to support the things we agree with. It's very hard to support the rights of something we hate. Yet if we only act in defense of one and not the other, we are failing in the most fundamental way.
