The Branched Man

Probably my first piece I would consider "Environmental" in message, The Branched Man is about living in harmony with nature...becoming part of nature instead of an occupier.

While speaking to letting yourself get lost in nature, another thing that impacted or initialized the idea for this piece was the recent burning of "The Senator" tree, a 3,500 year old cyprus tree recently torched by a meth user. I guess it's meant as a warning...and a comfort. We have the ability to be transparent in the eyes of the environment, yet we also can completely over-power it's ability to survive. We need to accept our role as a powerful impacter, yet work hard so that impact is known, researched and lessened to the greatest extent possible.
