Just sold another piece in good ol' Minnesota. It's an older style piece and I was really a fan of it when I got it done. It's in a very fauve/expressionist-ish type guy...

"Running Round the Backyard and Workin Long Days"

I just really like the color combinations and the gesture. While being very simple compositionally, color-wise, and subject-wise, it has some very dynamic gesture, care-free marking making and an overall relaxed sensibility. It's a painting that finds comfort in the simple things and I think that is projected well by the piece. Congrats to whomever bought the piece and I'm sure it's on its way to a wonderful home.
